Matthew grew up in North Olmsted and is a graduate of St. Edwards High School in Lakewood, Ohio Matt has lived in Toledo, Lakewood, Chargin Falls, and Twinsburg. He currently resides in Highland Heights with his wife Heidi and 2 children, Connor was born in 2003 and Jillian was born in 2006. Connor and Jillian both attend Mayfield City Schools.
Matthew has coached both youth travel baseball and basketball and is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. His hobbies include coaching, supporting Cleveland sports teams, golfing, and reading books. His favorite authors are Patrick Lencioni and Jim Collins.

After attending Florida State University for two years he transferred to the University of Akron to complete his Bachelor's in Management Information Systems. Jennifer is the Student Software Services Director at NEOnet. When she started at NEOnet in 2007 she supported and trained NEOnet’s districts on the DASL student information system along with a providing backup support to the ProgressBook Gradebook application. In July 2013, Jennifer became the coordinator of the best student services team of all the ITCs in Ohio and still continues to specialize in supporting the DASL application, custom report writing, and helping with third-party vendors.
Jennifer is married with two boys and has a West Highland Terrier. Jennifer and her family love being outdoors, have completed numerous Metro Parks hiking sprees, and enjoy watching sports together.

Michele Baker is the Personnel and Communications Coordinator for NEOnet along with responsibilities to the DASL Student Information system and acting as the lead on Roster Verification.
After graduating from Pennsylvania State University in 2008, Michele joined the Smart Solutions team in Beachwood as an Account Manager. Michele worked on educating school districts on the benefits of technology in the schools by performing technology audits, meeting with district Superintendents, Technology Coordinators, and other District Administrators, along with developing content and designs of marketing materials targeting existing and potential clients.
In her spare time, Michele enjoys spending time with her family, especially her husband, Larry, son, Fulton, and daughter, Madison. She also enjoys cheering on her favorite football teams, the Penn State Nittany Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers!

Jason Smith is the Business Manager for NEOnet. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility, and its upkeep. Jason is also responsible for future modifications to the physical building, landscape, and grounds.
Prior to his position as Business Manager, Jason worked with Stow-Munroe Falls City School District as the Director of Buildings and Grounds for 18 years. He also worked at American Greetings WHQ in Cleveland for 4 years as a Building Service Team Leader.
Jason enjoys helping out wherever he can while on the job and loves working in the team oriented culture that NEOnet embodies.
While not at work, Jason likes spending time with family and friends, and listening to music.

Tamra Dugan came to NEOnet after spending 13 years in collegiate and school libraries, including Case Western Reserve University, Copley High School, and Twinsburg Middle and High Schools. She has a strong cataloging background and extensive hands-on experience with day to day library operation. Tamra is also passionate about staying on the cutting edge of educational technology from Google to Makerspaces.
Outside of work Tamra enjoys spending time with her husband, Sam, son, L, French bulldog, Malcolm, and her large extended family. Tamra can also regularly be found starting and occasionally finishing numerous crafting projects, completing home renovations, and of course, reading.

Senior Media Services Support Specialist

Noah has spent the majority of his career working with libraries. Having worked in Special Collections, Public, and Academic libraries Noah has been committed to ethos of life long learning that libraries represent. Noah comes to NEOnet from the University of Akron’s University Libraries where he helped maintain the library catalog and provided hardware and software support for the library's students, staff and faculty. Prior to that Noah was employed by the Northeast Ohio Regional Library System as the AfterDark Virtual Reference Service Coordinator. The AfterDark Virtual Reference Service provided librarians to staff the statewide online reference service KnowItNow. KnowItNow was the first 24/7 statewide virtual reference service staffed entirely by in-state librarians. KnowItNow was a very successful service, but funding sources were eliminated and the service ended in 2015.
In his free time Noah enjoys spending time outdoors, enjoying the Cleveland dining scene, and watching English Premier League soccer.
Technology Integration Specialist
Dan has been living in Parma, Ohio since he was about five years old. He loves cats and dogs, playing guitar, reading Sci-Fi and Fantasy novels, movies, corny TV shows, and playing video games. He had a Rottweiler growing up and can't wait to have one again! Some of his favorite books and movies include the Game of Thrones series, World War II movies like Darkest Hour and Saving Private Ryan, and The Office. He attended Baldwin Wallace University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in History and Education and is currently enrolled in a master's program for Educational Technology at Cleveland State University. Dan started his career with ECOT in their Cleveland Office, then moved on to be one of their High School Social Studies teachers. Most recently, he taught high school Social Studies at Invictus High School East Campus.

Catherine Wright is an EMIS Software Support Specialist for Northeast Ohio Network for Educational Technology. She started with NEOnet in 2014 working with shared services for community schools.
Catherine supports the districts in the NEOnet consortium with reporting their student EMIS data to ODE and is also involved with EMIS shared services. She is an active member of the Ohio Association of EMIS Professionals.
Prior to joining the ITC, Catherine was a Support Specialist for Summa Western Reserve Hospital in the Surgical Services Department.

Beth comes with experience from Chagrin Falls Exempted School District where she worked as their EMIS coordinator and Administrative Assistant to the Pupil Services Director for 4 years. Fiscal Systems Support Coordinator

Lisa is a Fiscal Systems Support Coordinator at NEOnet. Her strength is in 3rd party software integration with State Accounting Software. As part of the Fiscal Team Lisa assists in fielding questions related to USAS – Uniform School Accounting System, USPS – Uniform School Payroll System, EIS – Equipment Inventory System, Employee HR Kiosk, and various 3rd party time clock software’s.
Lisa worked at Bowling Green State University as a Business Analyst for the Office of the Bursar where she performed maintenance and training on financial, student, and cashiering systems. During her time at Bowling Green State University she worked on two system implementations and three system upgrades, including addressing interface issues.
Lisa’s experience has provided a distinct impact to the eFinancePLUS (eFP) conversion process. Lisa is the team lead on conversion exports from State Software to eFP data. To date Lisa has completed 6 conversions and has 1 in process.
Lisa also participates in the eFinancePLUS Advisory Committee (eFAC) as the chair. The eFAC group meets on a bi-weekly basis to discuss on going issues with PowerSchool.

Prior to coming to NEOnet, Chelsea worked for 2 years as a Fiscal Support Liaison with focus on the State Software Redesign. She greatly enjoys learning about new technology and it’s application within schools. Chelsea is a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Guardians, and in her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and collecting minerals.

Lillian Johnson is a Fiscal Services Support Specialist at NEOnet. Lillian brings an extensive background in administrative, customer relations, and office management throughout the past ten years.
Prior to joining NEOnet, Lillian worked for a construction company as an Administrative Assistant after her move from Kentucky. While in Kentucky, Lillian worked for a school district, assisting the Assistant Superintendent with day-to-day operations and serving as a District Coordinator for Infinite Campus.
In Lillian’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys watching her son play lacrosse and football and her daughter in school plays.

Roxanna Bennett is a Fiscal Services Support Specialist at NEOnet. Prior to her position, she worked at Nordonia Hills City Schools where she was the Payroll Coordinator. Roxanna has experience in USPS - Uniform School Payroll System, Aesop and Veritime. Roxanna's primary role is to assist with State Software Payroll support.

Denise is the Special Services Software Specialist at NEOnet. She was part of the initial team of ITC sites that worked with Software Answers to develop the Special Services software starting in 2003. In March of 2005, she assisted in writing the Special Education Grant funded by the ODE to implement the software in NEOnet's member districts. Under her Guidance, Denise has migrated 24 districts, 1 ESC, 2 Digital Academies and 47 Community Schools over to the software. She also provides backup support for the Gradebook software and Special Services EMIS Reporting.
Denise came to NEOnet originally as part of the Fiscal Team, serving the districts with payroll and accounts payable. Prior to working at NEOnet, she worked at Nordonia Hills City Schools in the Treasurers Department for 2 years and as the General Manager in her family restaurant for 17 years. Denise and her husband Angelo, have two grown children and one grandson. In her spare time, she volunteers in music ministry at her church.

Kathy‘s expertise is ProgressBook GradeBook and Parent/Student Portal where she assists teachers and administrators with training and ongoing questions regarding the electronic GradeBook software. Kathy came to NEOnet from The Hoover Company where she was responsible for software support and computer training for the Sales Team.

Prior to her position in Student Services supporting Student Information and DataMap, Janet was employed at Software Answers the development company for the ProgressBook Suite as the Product Specialist for 6 ½ years. Janet lead all activities related to the use and training of ProgressBook solutions, from demonstrations through successful implementations. Before joining Software Answers in 2010, she instructed computer classes to elementary students and supported ProgressBook at the school district level. Prior to working in the school district, she worked as a Systems Analyst at LDA Systems, Inc. and provided software consulting development and analysis services to several companies. Janet began her career as a Programmer Analyst at Agency Rent-A-Car where she developed and maintained eight major systems.
In her spare time, Janet enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Marc, sons Dalton and Riley, daughters Tricia and Jessica as well as her grandchildren.

Michael graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. He is the Technical Applications Support Team Coordinator. Michael and his team are responsible for database and application support as well as third-party extracts for both Student Services and Fiscal Services teams.
Michael lives in Cuyahoga Falls with his wife Val and their three children. He enjoys camping, hiking and golfing.

Senior Network Support Specialist

National Institute of Technology in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
Cyrus is a Systems Administrator for the NEOnet Technical Services team and brings over 20 years of experience in the IT field to the team. He started at NEOnet as part of the NEOnet Tech for a day program that came into existence in the late 90s. At that time, districts were being outfitted by the Ohio SchoolNet wiring project and found themselves with new district wide computer networks with Internet access and several new technology needs. During this time, Cyrus helped districts setup some of their first district file servers and computer labs. He worked with many district staff, several whom were taking on new roles as Technology Directors or Coordinators for the first time. Having graduated from Green High School, he even found himself assisting some of his former teachers who were now in charge of district technology.
In 2003 Cyrus took a position as Assistant Technology Director at Massillon City Schools. At Massillon, he used much of his knowledge gained while working with NEOnet districts to help Massillon improve their district network. During his time there, he helped implement many new technologies which improved the district’s network, saved the district money, and helped work more efficiently. Many of these technologies such as VMware, Cisco VoIP, and Linux have since become mainstays in school districts and data centers over the last 10 years.
He returned to NEOnet in 2008 to assume several new roles. He now administers multiple Cisco VoIP clusters for many of the NEOnet member districts, as well as the City of Cuyahoga Falls. He has obtained his OnBase System Administrator Certification and maintains the NEOnet OnBase system which many districts utilize for electronic document archival. Cyrus also assists in maintaining the OpenVMS Alpha system, as well as several applications used by the NEOnet Fiscal department. Additionally, he helps maintain the NEOnet website, as well as several ancillary services.
Senior Systems Support Specialist
July 2005 to Present Computer Technology, Kent State University Tim came to NEOnet after serving seven years in various technical positions at Tallmadge City Schools where he also attended school and was part of the TWE (Technical Work Experience) program from his sophomore year until the time at which he graduated high school. He then attended Kent State University while working full time where he obtained a degree in computer technology concentrating his studies on network technology. Tim is primarily responsible for the server infrastructure at NEOnet including server hardware, virtual environment, guest operating systems, email services, storage and backup services. He spends much of his time troubleshooting, maintaining and updating these systems to ensure the best customer experience possible. When Tim isn’t working he likes to maintain an active lifestyle, be it outdoors or in the gym. When the weather is fair you can often find him with his canine companion on one of the many hiking trails in Northeast Ohio or cycling on the Towpath or Metro Parks Bike and Hike Trails. If he’s not being active he likes to take time to relax and in particular enjoys learning about history, science and as you might expect technology. He also enjoys traveling and hopes to visit as many National Parks as possible throughout his life time during these travels.

Ben Heller is a Network Support Specialist at NEOnet. He is responsible for designing, implementing and troubleshooting network layouts and hardware. This includes internet, IP telephony, security and wireless access.
Ben attended RIT majoring in Media Publishing and Museum Sciences and found he wanted to focus on computers and technology but maintain an aspect of design. Upon taking some Cisco networking classes and getting certified he discovered it was the perfect combination he was looking for and began his career in IT.
After starting at NEOnet Ben moved to Stow to happily avoid 271 traffic. He is an animal person who is always ready to discuss pets, and you can often find him relaxing while reading a novel in his free time.
Senior Systems Support Specialist
March 2014 to Present B.S. Computer Information Systems, Summa cum laude, The University of Akron Ben works as a Technical Software Support Specialist in the Technical Services team at NEOnet. He primarily manages the edge firewall, SCCM, Exchange, and Active Directory related components. Prior to joining NEOnet, he worked for a manufacturing company in Kent, Ohio as the Network Administrator. He has worked as the IT Administrator for the non-commercial WSTB-FM (owned by Streetsboro City Schools) since graduating in 2008, as well as doing IT consulting on the side since graduating from UA in 2012. Among the Technical Team, Ben is most known for writing many scripts to automate complicated tasks, freeing him and other team members to focus on more important responsibilities. He enjoys learning new technologies and continuing to evolve his current programming capabilities. In his spare time he is developing skills in many different web languages such as PHP, HTML5, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, and even integrating such languages with a Powershell-driven API.

He is responsible for supporting the NEOnet core network infrastructure. Joe graduated from The University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and an associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems. While attending The University of Akron he worked as a system administrator. Joe joined NEOnet after working 17 years as a network administrator for a local municipality. In his spare time Joe enjoys running, traveling and spending time with his family.

Tristan obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Akron in 2015. He spent 5 and a half years working in the Cuyahoga Falls City School technology department. Tristan enjoys exploring the local metro parks with his family and as a recent home buyer stays busy with home improvement projects.

Justice was eight years old when he discovered his passion for technology. He began pursuing this passion by first enrolling in the Information Technology course at Maplewood Career Center. During his junior year, Justice interned for a Northeast Ohio company where he supported teachers and administrators in multiple school districts, including Tuscarawas, Portage, Stark and Summit. In his free time, Justice enjoys gaming and spending time with his golden retriever, friends and family.

Prior to NEOnet, Jay was a Geek Squad Agent at Best Buy where he would troubleshoot client issues. Jay has a wide range of experience as a computer technician. In his spare time, he likes to play games, learn new skills, and spend time with family.

Cody graduated from The University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. He brings over 10 years of experience in the IT field to NEOnet. Cody is responsible for coordinating and leading the District Technology Services department. Eric joined the NEOnet team in 2016 as a desktop support analyst. Prior to joining NEOnet he worked for Kent State University part-time as a desktop support specialist for four years. Eric graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor of science in 2015. He is currently assisting Medina County Career Center with all of their tech needs.

Anthony joined the NEOnet team in 2019 as a Technology Coordinator for the Maple Heights School District. Prior to joining NEOnet, he worked as a Desktop Support Technician and then as a Technology Coordinator in the private school sector for 7 years. He is currently assisting the Portage Lakes Career Center, Mogadore Local Schools, the Village of Mogadore, Richmond Heights Local Schools, and the Maple Heights School District.

Before joining NEOnet, Tyler worked as a TWE technician at the Stow-Munroe Falls High School, and he worked as a computer technician for the Cuyahoga Falls City School District. He got his CompTIA A+ certification in 2017 and graduated from high school in the spring of 2018. He is currently working for the Manchester School District.

Tyler was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio. He moved to the Akron area for his previous job at Spectrum Cable Company as an Internet and Phone Support Agent. Prior to that, he has many years of experience in customer service related fields. This made moving into a technical support role at schools where you interface with a variety of types and age-ranges of people effortless. He has been using computers and technology his whole life which first began with video games around the age of seven. Since then he has dabbled in web design, basic coding, and home networking in my free time. He graduated from Mentor High School, earned his Associates degree of Arts and Sciences at Lakeland Community College, and finished his Bachelors of Foreign Language at The Ohio State University.

Cody is committed to providing exceptional service to Stow-Munroe Falls Schools and helping further the learning of students through technology. Prior to joining NEOnet he worked at Geek Squad as a repair technician where he provided tech support for all different kinds of technology. In his spare time, Cody enjoys gaming, cycling and spending time with his friends.

Dustin started his technology career at a local manufacturing facility and assisted the system administrator with various deployments. He furthered his knowledge with Geek Squad, expanding his technical skills into mobile devices and computer issues that people face every day. With this foundation working with all types of technology and people, Dustin hopes to solidify his career in the education system; the perfect mix of repairing technology and educating the public about new technologies that will be used to further the learning of students at Stow-Munroe Falls Schools.
Desktop Support Specialist
Darcy began her teaching career for the Maple Heights City Schools after graduating from Ohio University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. During her 21 years there, Darcy also earned a master’s degree in instructional technology from Kent State University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership with principal licensure from Cleveland State University. Darcy then worked as a technology assistant in the Maple Heights City Schools from 2014 to 2018 after being contracted through the ESC of Cuyahoga County. Now, Darcy has been a part of the NEOnet team since 2018 and continues to provide technology support for the Maple Heights City School District.

Marcus grew up in the greater Cincinnati area. He is a Bengals fan, but also enjoys following the Packers, Cyclones, and Penguins. He enjoys learning and working with technology. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, playing videogames with friends and tending to his tarantulas.

Matthew is a self-taught Desktop Support Specialist with a CCNA and also has a background in culinary arts. Outside of the professional work Matt enjoys painting, punk-rock concerts, and exercise. Matt also volunteers his time to a local sports league. He also has an extensive converse collection and prides himself on his ability to pair his converse with any outfit.

Matthew recently joined the NEOnet DTS team. , he graduated from Columbia High school and the Lorain County Joint Vocational school in 2017. Following his interests in Information Technology, he continued his education through Lorain County Community College and Akron University to strive for a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems - Network Communications.
